Wind & Sky Productions on Culture Victoria

Wind and Sky Productions has launched two stories on Culture Victoria: ‘Bull Allen’ and ‘Savoy Ladies Group.’

The stories feature the short documentary films ‘In Memory of Bull Allen’ and ‘The Savoy Ladies Group’ produced by Wind and Sky Productions in 2013 and 2014.

Each story features a documentary film, short historical essays, and a photographic gallery of historical images from cultural collections.

The projects were a great opportunity to highlight the materials, knowledge and resources we gather as part of the documentary film making process.

Each story also includes short background essays and photographic galleries which combine historical material from cultural repositories in Victoria and Australia.

The projects were a great opportunity to highlight the materials, knowledge and resources we gather as part of the documentary film making process. Writing the essays and designing the archival photographic pathway proved absorbing and enjoyable. It was a pleasure to delve again into the history which underlay each story.

Culture Victoria is a collaborative partnership between the major Victorian arts agencies, facilitated by Arts Victoria, which aims to publicise and showcase the diversity and richness of Victoria’s cultural collections.
